National flag carrier Finnair will cancel about 100 flights on Monday again due to a series of strikes announced by the trade unions, said Finnair on Saturday.

The Finnish Aviation Union (IAU) decided to observe the strike as the unions unanimously rejected the negotiation proposal made by the mediator regarding renewal of the collective agreement for aviation services.

The IAU has announced the four-hour strikes on Monday at Helsinki Airport, causing extensive disruptions to traffic, said Finnair.

The strike will impact all essential ground services related to Finnair flights.

Finnair will cancel about 100 flights on Monday, and these cancellations will affect about 7,200 passengers.

Passengers with bookings on July 7 will receive information from Finnair in case their flight is cancelled.

Passengers will receive a new routing based on the contact details in their booking.

Depending on availability, the proposed new route can be changed. Alternatively, passengers may cancel their trip and request a refund for the ticket.
