No trace of drug was found in the test taken on Friday by Prime Minister Sanna Marin, said a government press release on Monday evening.

The Premier took the drug test against the backdrop of accusations following the leakage of video footage in social media where she was seen dancing and singing.

The Prime Minister paid the costs of the test by herself and the drug test certificate was signed by occupational health physician Paavo Halonen from Terveystalo.

Prime Minister Sanna Marin is facing strong criticism from political parties following leakage of her partying video footage in social media.

Leader of the main opposition Perussuomalaiset (Finns Party) Riikka Purra in an interview with a leading Finnish language newspaper called on her to voluntarily take a drug test.

Mikko Kärnä, a lawmaker of Suomen Keskusta (Centre Party), a component of the five-party alliance government on Thursday in a twitter post also demanded that the Prime Minister should take a drug test.
