Finland prepares to join EUSM Lebanon

Finland is preparing to participate in the Support Mission in Lebanon (EUSM Lebanon), said a government press release on Friday.

The President and Ministerial Committee on Foreign and Security Policy at a meeting on Friday discussed the issue and observed that the crisis management mission aims to contribute to peace and security, support the strengthening of state institutions and promote lasting stability in line with UN Security Council Resolution.

The meeting also discussed the entry of Russian citizens into Finland.

It discussed the current situation in Ukraine and the need to continue to provide strong support for Ukraine and increase pressure on Russia.

The meeting also included a discussion on the national cyber defence doctrine.
