Prime Minister Sanna Marin on Tuesday announced that she would get tested again for COVID-19, following some respiratory symptoms.
In her Twitter and Facebook posts she wrote that as she has developed mild respiratory symptoms, she will go for coronavirus test and work remotely.
The prime minister has attended her party’s parliamentary group meeting and a government meeting using telecommunications.
She will also attend an extraordinary video meeting of the members of the European Council to address the situation in Belarus, said a government press release.
Earlier in April 23 Marin went to self-quarantine after a worker of her official residence Kesäranta was infected by coronavirus. She worked remotely from the Kesäranta as a precautionary measure.
On 7 May, all the ministers including the PM started to work remotely, when Social Affairs and Health Minister Aino-Kaisa Pekonen and Employment Minister Tuula Haatainen went into self-quarantine after their suspected exposure to coronavirus during government negotiations.
On 25 May, the prime minister took a weeklong sick leave and got tested for COVID-19 after she had developed flu-like symptoms. But the test result was negative.
