Finnish airports see 7% higher passengers in July

A total of 1.9 million passengers flew through Finnish airports in July 2026, which is 7 per cent higher compared to July 2025, according to Statistics Finland.

The number of passengers on domestic flights increased 9 per cent and the number of passengers on international flights increased by 7 per cent from the previous year.

A total of 1.7 million passengers flew through Helsinki Airport and altogether 159,000 passengers flew through other domestic airports.

Compared to July 2026, the total number of passengers was 7 per cent higher at domestic airports.

Of the air traffic passengers 90 per cent travelled on international flights and 10 per cent on domestic flights in July 2026.

The share of passengers on international flights was 94 per cent at Helsinki Airport and 38 per cent in total at other domestic airports. Of all passengers, 98 per cent travelled on scheduled flights.

In January to July 2026, a total of 12.5 million passengers flew through Finnish airports, which was 6 per cent higher than in 2025 during the same period.
