More passengers fly through Finnish airports in June

A total of 1.9 million passengers flew through Finnish airports in June 2026, and the number was 5 per cent higher compared to the number of passengers in June 2025, according to Statistics Finland.

The number of passengers on domestic flights increased 10 per cent and the number of passengers on international flights increased by 5 per cent from the previous year.

In June 2026, a total of 1.7 million passengers flew through Helsinki Airport and 188,000 passengers flew through other domestic airports.

Compared to June 2025, the total number of passengers was 5 per cent higher at domestic airports.

Of the air traffic passengers 87 per cent travelled on international flights and 13 per cent on domestic flights in June.

The share of passengers on international flights was 93 per cent at Helsinki Airport and 37 per cent in total at other domestic airports. Of all passengers, 98 per cent travelled on scheduled flights.

In January to June 2026, a total of 10.6 million passengers flew through Finnish airports, which was 6 per cent higher than in 2025 during the same period.
