More passengers fly through Finnish airports in February

A total of 1.8 million passengers flew through Finnish airports in February this year and the number was 9 per cent higher compared to the stipulated month of the previous year, according to Statistics Finland.

The number of passengers on domestic flights increased by 11 per cent and the number of passengers on international flights increased by 9 per cent from the previous year.

A total of 1.3 million passengers flew through Helsinki Airport and altogether 489,000 passengers flew through other domestic airports in February 2026.

Of the air traffic passengers, 75 per cent travelled on international flights and 25 per cent on domestic flights in February 2026.

The share of passengers on international flights was 83 per cent at Helsinki Airport and 56 per cent in at other domestic airports. Of all passengers, 95 per cent travelled on scheduled flights.
