Finnish airports handle 20.6m passengers in 2025

A total of 20.6 million passengers flew through Finnish airports in 2025 and the number was four per cent more than in 2024, according to Statistics Finland.

The number of passengers travelled through Finnish airports in December, 2025 was 2.1 million, which was eight per cent higher compared to the stipulated month of the previous year.

A total of 1.4 million passengers flew through Helsinki Airport and altogether 717,000 passengers flew through other domestic airports.

Compared to December 2025, the total number of passengers was eight per cent higher at domestic airports.

Of the air traffic passengers 78 per cent travelled on international flights and 22 per cent on domestic flights in December 2025.

The share of passengers on international flights was 83 per cent at Helsinki Airport and 66 per cent in total at other domestic airports. Of all passengers, 88 per cent travelled on scheduled flights.
