The Finnish Aviation Union (IAU) on Sunday warned of another strike on May 5 demanding a collective agreement, said the union in a press release.

The strike will impact Helsinki Airport’s operations, such as customer service at the airport, baggage handling, and other ground services, disrupting Finnair’s flight operations.

The strike will affect more than 300 employees who work for Finnair's passenger, ground handling and cargo services and will also affect cargo handling of other airlines.

Earlier, the IAU also announced to observe a four-hour strike on May 2.

The union has been in negotiations with the Service Sector Employers Palta to renew the collective agreements for air transport service workers since the end of January, but the negotiations ended without any fruitful result.

Earlier, National flag carrier Finnair cancelled about 70 flights on March 27 due to strike called by the IAU and the Finnish Transport Workers' Union (AKT).
