Wizz Air to launch Turku-Rome route next year

Hungarian low-cost carrier Wizz Air will launch fight operation between Turku and Rome Fiumicino Leonardo da Vinci International Airport from 26 September 2022, said country´s airports operator Finavia in a press release on Friday.
“We are looking forward to the historic first flight between Turku and Rome. The new route will further strengthen Turku’s direct connections to the world while supporting the region’s tourism and business,” said Petri Vuori, Senior Vice President, Sales and Route Development at Finavia.
In 2022, Wizz Air will also fly from Turku to destinations such as Burgas in Bulgaria, Larnaca in Cyprus, Skopje in North Macedonia and Krakow and Gdansk in Poland, the press release added.
