Espoo to further expand paid parking areas in September

The City of Espoo is further expanding paid parking areas in September as per the decision made by the City Board in March, said the city in a press release on Tuesday.

According to the decision, Matinkylä and Kilo areas will be brought under paid parking zones.

Motorists are advised to check traffic signs when parking, as the parking fees will take effect immediately once the signs have been replaced in September.

Parking costs will be €3.50 per hour in zone 1 and €2.50 per hour in zone 2.

Parking fees will be charged from Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 20:00, on Saturdays from 8:00 to 18:00. In zone 1, the parking fees will be also applied on Sundays from 8:00 to 18:00.

Earlier in June 2026, the city brought Kaitaa and Leppävaara areas under paid parking zones.

In January, the City of Espoo decided to increase parking fines and expand expanded paid parking areas.
