Bread factory gutted in fire in Jokioinen

A devastative fire broke out at a bread factory and destroyed the facility in Jokioinen, a municipality under Kanta-Häme region early Sunday morning, police said.

The fire broke out at Jokioinen Leipä bread factory at Leivänkuja area at about 4:30 a.m. and engulfed the building immediately.

Responding to an alarm rescue service people and police rushed to the spot but the building already burnt into ashes by this time.

Later, the fire fighters extinguished the fire and brought the situation under control.

No human casualty, however, was reported in the incident.

The origin of the fire could not be known immediately and police did not rule out the possibility of crime link to the incident.

Police and Fire Service people are investigating into the incident to find out more information in this regard.
