Woman killed in motorcycle mishap in Kuopio

A motorcyclist was killed in an accident in Kuopio, a municipality under North Savo region, police said on Wednesday.
The accident took place on Tuesday evening when the motorcycle skidded off the Alapitkäntie road and fell into the nearby area.
Driver of the motorcycle, a 25-year-old woman sustained critical wounds in the accident and was taken to hospital where she succumbed to her injuries later.
Police, however, did not divulge the detail identity of the deceased.
The Accident Investigation Board and police are investigating into the incident to find out the circumstances surrounding it.
