2 drown in Joensuu, Iisalmi, 2 found dead in Rauma, Pargas

Two people drowned in separate incidents while two other people were found dead at different parts of the country during the weekend, police said in separate press releases.

A man drowned in the Pielisjoki river in Joensuu, a municipality in Eastern Finland on Sunday afternoon.

Responding to an alarm rescue service people and police rushed to the spot at about 3:00 p.m. and recovered the body from Rantakylä area near Pataluoto beach.

Police, however, did not divulge the details about the incident and the identity of the deceased.

They are investigating into the incident to find out the reason behind the death but did not suspect any crime link at the preliminary stage of the investigation.

Meanwhile, police recovered the remains of a man, who went missing in March this year from a forest area in Rauma, a municipality in Western Finland at the weekend.

A person noticed the bones of a human while walking in the forest and informed the police in this regard.

Police identified the deceased based on the information given in the missing report filed with them after the man had been disappeared in March.

Police, did not disclose the detail identity of the dead person.

They are investigating into the incident to find out the reason behind the death.

Meanwhile, another person was found dead in Pargas, a municipality in South-western Finland at the weekend.

Police recovered the body during a search for a man, who went missing from Turku earlier this week.

They, however, did not confirm whether the deceased is the same person, who went missing from Turku.

Police are investigating into the incident to find out the cause of the death and to confirm the identity of the deceased.

Meanwhile, a woman downed after falling from a boat into water in Iisalmi, a municipality under North Savo region on Saturday evening.

Rescue service people rushed to the spot responding to a call at about 5:45 p.m. and recovered the body of the woman of about 30 years old after an extensive search for about two hours.

Police did not disclose the detail identity of the deceased and investigating into the incident to find out the reason behind the death.
