The Parliament of Finland will organise an Open House in the Parliament Building (Eduskuntatalo) on September 5th from 2 p.m. to 6.15 p.m.
Visitors are asked to come to the entrance, which is located to the right of the main entrance, said an official press release.
Guests are invited to see, for example, the Plenary Hall, the Hall of State, the Speaker's Council Meeting Room as well as the Speaker's Office.
Parliamentary personnel will guide visitors through the Parliament Building. MPs are also invited to meet citizens in the Hall of State. Refreshments will be served in the parliament cafeteria.
There is a security check at the entrance. Visitors will be allowed to take the outer jacket with them on the tour, but large bags, backpacks and water bottles remain in storage.
Parliament Building was designed by Johan Sigfrid Sirén in the classic style of the 1920s. The building was constructed in 1926-1931 and was officially inaugurated on 7 March 1931.
