Woman killed in bus-e-scooter crash in Turku

A woman was killed when an electric scooter was collided with a bus in Turku on Wednesday morning.

Police said that the accident took place at about 9:30 a.m. at the intersection of Uudenmaankatu and Hämeenkatu in the city centre.

The 23-year old female driver of the electric scooter died on the spot.

The Police are investigating the incident as suspected cases of negligent murder and endangerment of traffic safety.

The Accident Investigation Board is also investigating into the incident to find out the circumstances surrounding the accident.
