1 gunned down in Oulu, suspect held

The police arrested the suspected perpetrator of a murder that took place in an apartment building in the Puolivälinkangas area of Oulu, said the police in a press release on Sunday.

The victim was gunned down in the private apartment on 28 January, Thursday, when the deceased made a visit there.

Responding to a call, the law-enforcers rushed to the spot and recovered the body with marks of bullet wounds from the apartment.

The police arrested one person in the apartment. After pre-trial investigation, the police suspect that the detainee committed the murder.

The police also detained some other people, who were present in the apartment at the time of the murder but released them later, after interrogation.

The law-enforcing agency is continues with its investigation into the suspected homicide as murder and placed the suspect before the Oulu District Court.

The court sent the suspect to pre-trail detention, said the police.

The police, however, did not divulge any detail information in this regard.
