Russian military training aircraft crashes during take-off

A Russian military training aircraft crashed during takeoff in the Moscow region on Thursday, and the pilot ejected safely, local media quoted the Russian Defense Ministry as saying, reported Xinhua.

The ministry said that the aircraft, unloaded, went down in an unpopulated area, causing no damage on the ground. The pilot survived the incident, and there is no threat to his life.

A preliminary investigation indicated that the crash was likely caused by a technical malfunction, the ministry added.
