2 dead, 2 injured in plane crash in east Austria

A small plane crashed on Sunday in east Austria's state of Lower Austria, leaving two dead and two others wounded according to the country's broadcaster ORF, reported Xinhua.

The small plane crashed on Sunday morning in Gaming area in Lower Austria with four people on board, ORF reported. One seriously injured person was flown by emergency helicopter to a hospital in the nearby city of Linz, the police said on Sunday afternoon.

Currently, a large rescue operation is underway by the fire brigade, police and rescue services, including two helicopters, ORF reported.
