The southern Finnish city of Hämeenlinna kicked off its annual Medieval Festival on Friday, drawing crowds of visitors eager to experience a journey back in time, reported Xinhua.

Running from June 13 to 15, the festival features participants in medieval-style costumes engaging in traditional activities such as archery, cooking over open fires, and performed weapon combat. Equestrian performances and photo opportunities with costumed reenactors add to the vibrant atmosphere.

The event transforms the city into a bustling medieval village, offering an immersive experience that blends entertainment with historical reenactment for visitors of all ages.
