President Sauli Niinistö on Friday granted the 2022 Internationalisation Awards to four companies, said the President Office in a press release.

Kempower Oyj, a provider of fast charging services for electric cars, was awarded as the Newcomer Company of 2022.

K. Hartwall Oy Ab, a family-owned company specialising in logistics equipment and services, received the Growth Company Award.

This year was the second time a Long-term International Investor that has created significant economic value for Finnish economy was rewarded. This award went to Andritz Oy. The Community Award of the year was granted to Kasvuryhmä Suomi ry.

“In times like these there is a need for ‘load bearers’, both in industry and to boost business growth,” Niinistö said while addressing the award giving ceremony.

The Internationalisation Awards of the President of Finland are bestowed annually in recognition of internationally successful Finnish companies or communities.

In addition to international success, the evaluation emphasised the ethical nature of operations as well as impacts on the development of Finnish competence and employment, and foreign investments.
