Building costs rise by 3.3% in Finland in July

Building costs increased by 3.3 per cent in July 2026 compared to the previous year's corresponding period, according to Statistics Finland.
Among materials, the biggest cost increases in the year were recorded in heat, water and sewer supplies (6.2%) and in roofing materials (5.6%).
Costs decreased most in the year in soil (2.1%) and in construction site surface structures (0.8%).
Labour input costs increased by 4.4 per cent in July while the costs of materials increased by 2.5 per cent compared to a year ago.
The costs of services increased by 3.1 per cent compared to a year ago.
