The first-ever electric ferry in the Helsinki archipelago started to ply experimentally between Vartiosaari and Laajasalo from Tuesday.
The ferry will cross the Reposalmi Strait every week from Tuesday to Sunday from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM until 23 August, said the City of Helsinki in a press release.
Six passengers at a time are allowed on board. The ferry has no timetable but operates as a calling service with the Callboats mobile app.
To use the ferry, people need to download the application on a mobile device and then use the app to call the ferry.
A One-way ticket for the ferry ride is one euro for children and young people aged between seven and 17 and two euros for adults.
