246 bankruptcies filed in March

A total of 246 bankruptcy proceedings were instigated in March 2023, which is five fewer than in the corresponding period one year earlier, according to Statistics Finland.

The number of staff-years in enterprises that filed for bankruptcy totalled 842, which is 31 staff-years fewer than in March 2022.

In March 2023, most bankruptcy proceedings were instigated in the industry of other services. Altogether 77 bankruptcy proceedings were instigated in the industry.

The number of instigated bankruptcy proceedings was lowest in the industry of agriculture, forestry and fishery. Only five bankruptcy proceedings were instigated in the industry.

A total of 303 bankruptcy proceedings were instigated in February 2023.
