Israeli strikes killed at least six people in southern Lebanon on Tuesday, according to the Lebanese National News Agency (NNA), while the Israeli military said a drone launched by Hezbollah wounded two people in northern Israel, reported Xinhua.

In southern Lebanon's Kfar Sir, an Israeli airstrike on a residential house killed four people and wounded two others, according to the NNA.

A municipal worker died from wounds sustained in an Israeli drone strike on a vehicle in Harouf, and another person was killed in a drone strike targeting a motorcycle in the village of Froun in the Bint Jbeil district, according to local reports.

Five others were wounded in a separate Israeli airstrike on a house in Maarakeh, local media said.

The NNA also reported low-altitude flights by Israeli military drones over Beirut and its southern suburbs.

It said Israeli forces also set up a checkpoint at the Mari-Halta junction in southern Lebanon, detaining three Lebanese citizens and confiscating several mobile phones.

Meanwhile, the Israeli military said it has struck more than 25 Hezbollah sites across southern Lebanon over the past 24 hours, including weapons storage facilities and command centers.

The military issued new evacuation warnings for more than 10 towns and villages in southern and eastern Lebanon.

Also on Tuesday, Hezbollah claimed targeting an Israeli warplane with a surface-to-air missile and launching attack drones against Israeli troop gatherings near the border.

According to the Israeli military and rescue services, an explosive drone fired by Hezbollah fell in Israeli territory near the border, injuring two people. An earlier drone was intercepted, the military said.

A ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon took effect in mid-April after weeks of intensified cross-border fighting starting from March 2, which was linked to the U.S.-Israeli war with Iran. The ceasefire has been extended twice ever since.

Despite the truce, Israel has continued carrying out strikes in Lebanon, while Hezbollah has also launched attacks on northern Israel and Israeli military positions in southern Lebanon.

Lebanon's Public Health Emergency Operations Center said Tuesday that the cumulative death toll from Israeli attacks since March 2 has risen to 3,042, with 9,301 wounded.
