Four persons including a prayer leader were killed and eight others injured as a bomb blast ripped through a mosque in PD 3 of Kabul city on Friday, Interior Ministry spokesman Tareq Arian said, reported Xinhua.

The deadly bombing took place while the faithful Afghans were gathered inside the mosque to offer their Friday prayer.

Without pointing finger at any particular group, the official blamed the "enemies of Afghans" for the blast, saying the enemies would continue to commit crimes against Afghans and humanity.

No group has claimed responsibility for the bombing.

This is the second attack on mosque in Kabul over the past eight days. In the previous attack on a mosque in Wazir Akbar Khan diplomatic area on June 4 for which the hardliner Islamic State group claimed responsibility a top cleric and one worshiper were killed.
