Stubb, Zelenskyy discuss Russia’s war over phone

President Alexander Stubb and his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Sunday held a telephone conversation and discussed about the ongoing Russia’s war against Ukraine, the Presidents wrote in their social media posts.

“I had a good call with President of Ukraine Zelenskyy. We discussed Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine and the path ahead. Ukraine’s position is stronger than ever since the war began. Continued support from the partners is critical to keep up the momentum,” Stubb wrote on his X, adding that Ukraine is ready for peace.

Zelenskyy in a post on his X expressed gratitude to the Finnish President after the phone conversation.

“Thank you, Alexander Stubb. I appreciate our constant coordination and your support. Always good talking things through with you. Ahead of an important diplomatic week, we spoke about what could be done and how to bring it to fruition in the interest of our people,” he wrote in the post.
