2 elderly men drown in Lahti, Lempäälä

Two elder men drowned in separate incidents in Lahti and Lempäälä during the weekend, police said in separate press releases.
Police said that a man in his 1950s had been missing since he went for swimming in Lake Kymijärvi in Lahti, a municipality under Päijät-Häme region on July 8.
Police and rescue service people conducted extensive searches in the lake and found his body from there on Sunday.
Police did not divulge the detail identity of the deceased but said that he hailed from Espoo.
Meanwhile, another elderly man downed in water in Lempäälä, a municipality under Pirkanmaa region on Saturday night.
Responding to an alarm from a bystander, police and rescue service people rushed to the spot at Kallaksentie area at about 9:00 p.m. and found the body of the man floating in the water.
Police did not disclose the identity of the deceased but said that he was an elderly man.
Police are investigating into the incidents to find out the reasons behind the deaths.
