2 stabbed to death in Seinäjoki, suspect held

Two men were killed when a miscreant allegedly attacked them with sharp weapon in Seinäjoki, a municipality under South Ostrobothnia region on Sunday evening, police and local media said on Monday.

The incident took place at about 6:30 p.m.at Kasperi area in the locality.

Responding to an alarm police and rescue service people rushed to the spot and found one person dead in an apartment while another person was found critically injured in the yard of the house.

The injured person also succumbed to his wounds later.

Police arrested a 35-year-old man as the suspect of the murders.

Police, however, did not divulge details about the incident and the identities of the victims and the suspect at the initial stage of the investigation.

Police are investigating into the case as murder and attempted murder.
