Man killed in Turku residence, 4 suspects held

A man was allegedly killed inside a private house at Lauste in Turku on Tuesday afternoon, police said in a press release on Wednesday.

The incident took place at about 3:00 p.m. at Pormestarinkatu area in the city.

Police suspected that the miscreants attacked the 33-year-old victim inside the apartment and tried to take him outside of the building.

Responding to an alarm from a bystander, police and emergency service people rushed to the spot and found the man dead in front of the stairs of the building.

Police arrested four people in connection with the murder.

Police, however, did not disclose the identities of the deceased and the suspects.

They also did not divulge details about the incident and the motive of the murder at the preliminary stage of the investigation.

Police are investigating into the case as suspected murder.
