3 drown in separate incidents in Kuusamo, Espoo lakes

Three people were found dead in two separate incidents after falling in lakes in Kuusamo and Espoo, police said on Tuesday.
The first incident took place when two elderly people went missing from their holiday home in Kuusamo, a municipality under Northern Ostrobothnia region late Monday night.
Responding an alarm rescue service people together with police and Border Guard started search at the adjacent area and in the Välijärvi lake at about 10:00 p.m.
After conducting extensive search using Border Guard helicopter, police dog and drone, they recovered bodies of the two elderly people from the lake early Tuesday night.
Police, however, did not divulge the identities of the deceased.
They are investigating into the incident to find out the reason behind the deaths.
Meanwhile, an adult person drowned in Bodominjärvi lake at Oittaa area in Espoo on Tuesday.
A bystander informed the emergency service about the incident at about noon. Responding to the alarm, rescue service people and police rushed to the spot and recovered the body from the lake.
The identity of the deceased could not be known, and police are investigating into the incident.
Based on the preliminary information, police did not suspect any crime link to the incident.
