2 burnt to death in Rauma house fire

Two people were burnt to death in a fire occurred at a row house in Rauma, a municipality under Satakunta region in the early morning of Sunday, police said.

The fire broke out in the house with three apartments at Lensunkallio area at about 4:00 a.m. and engulfed it immediately.

Responding to an alarm, rescue service personnel and police rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control.

They also recovered bodies of two persons from the debris of one of the apartments.

Police, however, did not divulge the detail identities of the deceased.

The origin of the fire could not be known.

Rescue service people and police are investigating into the incident to find out the reason behind the fire and the deaths.
