1 killed in Turku residence, suspect held

One person was allegedly killed inside a private house at Harittu in Turku on Tuesday morning, police said in a press release.

The incident took place at about 11:35 a.m. at Savonkatu area in the city.

Responding to an alarm, police and emergency service people rushed to the spot and found the person dead.

Police conducted search at the locality and arrested one person in connection with the suspected murder.

Police, however, did not disclose the identities of the deceased and the suspect but said that they knew each other.

Police also did not divulge details about the incident at the preliminary stage of the investigation.

Police are investigating into the case as suspected murder.
