The strikes scheduled to be observed at the private social services sector from March 3 to March 5 and from March 10 to March 12, have been withdrawn, said the Trade Union for the Public and Welfare Sectors-JHL on Monday.
The JHL took the decision following a fruitful negotiation with the Finnish Association of Private Care Providers (Hyvinvointiala HALI ry-Hali) regarding the collective agreement dispute.
Earlier, the JHL announced the second phase strike in the sector from March 3 to 5 and third phase strike from March 10 to 12 following disagreement in the settlement proposal that the National Conciliator issued for the collective agreement dispute.
The union already observed strike on the first phase from February 17 to February 19 to press home its demands.
Now the strikes have been withdrawn as the JHL and HALI have reached a negotiation result for the private social services sector, said the union.
The other unions that are parties to the agreement will process JHL’s joining in the agreement in their executive bodies during this week. The result will be announced after that.
JHL was not included in the negotiation result that was announced earlier on Friday.
