Woman killed, suspect injured in Helsinki

A woman was killed allegedly by a man in an apartment at Malminkartano area in Helsinki on Saturday afternoon, police said in a press release.

Police and rescue service people rushed to the spot responding to an alarm and found the woman dead and a man critically wounded in the apartment.

Police suspected the injured man of the murder and took him to hospital.

They, however, did not disclose the identities of the deceased and the suspect and their relation.

They also did not divulge detail about the murder at the initial stage of the investigation.

Police are investigating into the incident to get more information in this regard.
