Man held for suspected murder of woman in Naantali

A woman was allegedly killed in a private house in Naantali, a municipality in Southwest Finland near Turku, police and local media said on Wednesday.

Police said that the incident took place in between late Monday and early Tuesday nights and recovered the body responding to an alarm on Tuesday.

Police, however, did not disclose the identity of the deceased and did not divulge detail about the incident.

They arrested one person as suspect of the alleged murder but did not disclose the identity of the detainee at the preliminary stage of the investigation.

Police, however, said that the victim and the suspect were known to each other.

Local media reported that the suspect is a man of 38 years old.

Police are investigating into the case as suspected murder.
