1 killed after falling from tower, 1 burnt to death in house fire

One person was killed after falling from a radio tower in Tampere while another person was burnt to death in a house fire in Hamina on Saturday, police said in separate press releases.

The accident in Tampere took place at about 1:45 p.m. when the person fell down from a radio tower at Teisko area. The person died on the spot.

Police, however, did not divulge details about the incident and the identity of the deceased.

Another person was killed in a fire at an apartment building at Hamina, a municipality in Southern Finland early Saturday night.

The fire broke out in between 3:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. at Kerrospolku area and engulfed the apartment.

Rescue service people rushed to the spot and found the body of the victim there but did not disclose the identity of the deceased.

Police did not suspect crime link to any of the incidents.

They are investigating into the incidents to find out the reasons behind the deaths.
