Employee crushed under machine at work in Kouvola

One person was killed in an accident at workplace in Kouvola, a municipality in southeastern Finland on Monday afternoon, police said.

The accident took place at about 12:25 p.m. when the employee was crushed under a piece of machinery. The person died on the spot.

Responding to an alarm, police and rescue service people rushed to scene and recovered the body.

Police, however, did not divulge the identities of the deceased and the workplace.

They are investigating into the incident to find out the reason behind it.

Police did not suspect any crime link to the incident.
