President cancels US visit to join Ukraine peace talks in Berlin

President Alexander Stubb has cancelled his visit to Texas in United States scheduled for December 15 and 16, said the President Office in a press release on Friday.

Instead, the President will take part in discussions in Berlin on peace negotiations concerning Ukraine on December 15.

Several European heads of state and government, as well as high representatives of the EU and NATO, will participate in the discussions.

Earlier on December 8, the President office announced that Stubb will attend the official roll-out ceremony of Finland's first F-35A multi-role fighter jet, ordered from the United States, in Fort Worth on December 16.

After the ceremony, the President was also scheduled to visit the F-35 fighter jet assembly line at the Lockheed Martin production facility.
