Finland on Sunday strongly condemned the Russian missile and drone attacks on Lviv region of Ukraine.

“Russia’s latest missile and drone attacks on Ukraine have once again disrupted dozens of lives and shattered civilian infrastructure. We stand firmly with Ukraine in its fight for sovereignty and freedom. Russia must end its war of aggression,” the Ministry for Foreign Affairs wrote in a post on its social media platform X.

At least five people were killed and 10 others injured in an overnight Russian attack targeting Ukraine's infrastructure, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Sunday, reported Xinhua.

The attack involved about 500 combat drones and more than 50 missiles, including Kinzhal hypersonic missiles and cruise missiles, the president wrote on social media.

Nine regions in western, southern, northern, eastern and central Ukraine were targeted, he added.
