Birth rate remains lower than death in Finland in July

The number of births was 7,940 lower than that of deaths in Finland in July 2025, according to Statistics Finland.

The number of births was 26,431 while the number of deaths was 34,371 in January-July period of this year.

During the first seven months Finland's population, however, increased by 9,680 persons.

The reason for the population increase was migration gain from abroad.

The number of immigrants was 17,598 higher than that of emigrants.

Finland's population was 5,645,651 at the end of July 2025.
