Motorcyclist killed in road mishap in Hämeenlinna

A motorcyclist was killed in a road accident in Hämeenlinna, a municipality under Kanta-Häme region on Monday morning, police said in a press release.
The accident took place at about 9:30 a.m. when the light motorcycle skidded off the road at Eino Leinon katu and collided with a roadside pole.
The motorcyclist died on the spot in the accident.
Police, however, did not divulge the identity of the deceased.
The reason behind the accident could not be known.
The Accident Investigation Board and police are investigating into the incident to find out the circumstances surrounding the accident.
