1 killed in train mishap in Jyväskylä

One person was killed in a train accident at Köhniö area in Jyväskylä, a municipality under Middle Finland region on Tuesday morning, police said.

The accident took place at about 8:30 a.m. when the train crushed the person under wheels at the area.

The person was killed on the spot.

The police, however, did not divulge the details about the incident and the identity of the victim.

Police did not suspect any crime link to the incident.

The Accident Investigation Board and Police is investigating into the incident to find out the circumstances surrounding the accident.
