A group of Finnish citizens recently formed an association named “Finnish Friends of Morocco (FFM)”, with the view to strengthen human, cultural, and intellectual ties between Finnish and Moroccan societies, said the association in a press release on Thursday.

The non-profit association aims to promote exchanges in the fields of art, culture, academia, and business; and to support greater mutual visibility within civil society in both countries by celebrating their respective heritages and the opportunities they offer.

The name of the association was announced from a programme in Helsinki Chaired by a journalist and entrepreneur Ari Petajavaara with 25 members from diverse backgrounds.

The organization is governed by a board of members and supported by an executive secretariat.

Its upcoming activities will include targeted events, exploratory trips, publications, and an active digital presence aimed at deepening connections and promoting both countries culture and civilization, the press release added.
