Kaikkonen returns to cabinet after parental leave

Suomen Keskusta (Centre Party of Finland) lawmaker Antti Kaikkonen on Tuesday returned to the cabinet of the five-party alliance after parental leave and resumed duty as the Minister of Defence.

The President reappointed Kaikkonen and also released Mikko Savola from his duties as Minister of Defence and as a member of the Government, said an official press release.

Savola, lawmaker of the Suomen Keskusta (Centre Party), the second largest component of the five-party alliance government took over as the Minister of Defence on January 5 to replace Kaikkonen.
