The Industrial Union (Teollisuusliito) on Sunday announced it was calling off industrial action after striking a new collective agreement for the employees of the technology industry, said the Union in a press release.

The agreement was reached earlier on Friday and approved on Sunday with the help of the national conciliator.

The deal is valid for two years and represents a total cost implication of 7 percent.

In 2023, salaries will increase by 3.5 percent courtesy of a general increase including a one-time payment of 400 euros. Thus the cost effect of the agreement for the current year will be 4.5 percent.

Next year will see salary increase by 2 percent translating to a cost effect of 2.5 percent.

The agreement covers about 90,000 employees in the sector.

Employers were represented by the Technology Industry Employers of Finland (Teknologiateollisuuden työnantajat) in the negotiations.
