Conscript sustains bullet wound at Kainuu brigade

A conscript sustained bullet wound at his head at a rifle shooting range of the Kainuu Brigade on Thursday morning, said the Kainuu Brigade of Finnish Defence Forces in a press release.

The accident took place at about 10:00 am when basic shooting with assault rifles, part of the conscript training of the 3rd jaeger company, was going on at the shooting range.

No other person, however, was involved in the incident.

The injured conscript was taken to Kuopio University Hospital after he was given first aid on the spot.

The authority also informed the family of the injured conscript about the incident.

The Police are investigating into the accident to find out detail information in this regard.
