2 prisoners escape from Pyhäselkä jail, 1 held

Two male prisoners managed to escape from Pyhäselkä jail on Monday, police said in a press release.

The incident of fleeing took place during the outdoor activities of the prisoners in the morning.

Police, however, arrested one of the prisoners while the rest one remained absconding.

Members of the law enforcing agencies are conducting extensive search for the rest one but failed to arrest him yet.

Police considered that the missing prisoner with the background of property crimes will not be dangerous to bystanders or the authorities.
