The five-party alliance government on Friday survived a no-confidence motion brought against it in parliament by three opposition parties over the price hike of electricity and the ownership steering of energy company Fortum.
The government won the motion by 91 votes to 72 votes with 36 lawmakers remaining absent.
The parliamentary groups of the main opposition Perussuomalaiset (Finns Party), Suomen Kristillisdemokraati (Christian Democratic Party) and Liike Nyt (Movement Now) submitted the motion.
The interpellation claimed that the government's climate policy was intensifying the energy crisis in the country.
The treasury bench, however, said that Russia was responsible for the energy crisis.
Earlier in February, the three parties brought another no-confidence motion against the government over the price hike of fuel and electricity and the government survived that time by 94 votes to 67.
