The five-party alliance government on Wednesday survived a no-confidence motion brought against it in parliament by three opposition parties over the price hike of fuel and electricity.
The government won the motion by 94 to 67 votes with 38 lawmakers remaining absent.
The parliamentary groups of the main opposition Perussuomalaiset (Finns Party), SuomenKristillisdemokraati (Christian Democratic Party) and Liike Nyt (Movement Now) submitted the motion on 8 February on the increasing prices of fuel and electricity, said the parliament in a press release.
The government responded to the interpellation in a plenary session on Tuesday. After receiving the reply to the interpellation, Parliament debated the matter.
